Mr. Steve Schultz is the son of Loran and Patricia Schultz. He lived in four different towns by the time he went off to college since his father was a teacher and principal. Mr. Schultz graduated from Martin Luther College in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a minor in science. He received his Masters degree in Elementary Teaching from Saginaw Valley State in Michigan in 1992. He has served as a teacher at Emanuel, West St. Paul, Minn.; St. Paul, Plymouth, Neb.; Zion, Chesaning, Mich.; St. John, Juneau, Wis.; Faith, Antioch, Ill.; and Bethany, Kenosha. For all but one year in his teaching career, Mr. Schultz has also served as principal.
Mr. Schultz has served the WELS for thirty years as a school counselor, chairman of three principal’s conferences, chair of the Michigan District Commission for Communication on Financial Support, board member for the Wisconsin Lutheran Institutional Ministry, on the Board of Directors for Shoreland. Currently, he is a WELS school counselor, serves on the Synod Board of Appeals, and is a member of the Board of Directors for Michigan Lutheran Seminary.
The Lord has blessed Steve and his wife Carol with four children. Carol has worked as an LPN at the Aurora clinics in Hartford and Kenosha for the past 20 years. Mr. Schultz states, “The Lord has given me the privilege to share the Word of Life with God’s precious lambs.  It is a joy to serve in the ministry of Bethany, Kenosha, where together we are building God’s Kingdom by the power of his Word.”
