Ms. Lena Petermann

 Grades 1-2 Teacher

Lena Petermann was born to parents Joel and Jane in 1993 and has lived in four different states since then: Minnesota, New Hampshire, Michigan, and now Wisconsin. She was privileged to attend Michigan Lutheran Seminary (MLS) in Saginaw, Mich., while she was growing up in New Hampshire. During her first year at Martin Luther College, her dad received and accepted the call to be President of MLS, and her family has lived in Michigan for five years.

Lena has had many amazing teaching experiences throughout her college years. In December 2015 she was humbled to receive an emergency call to teach grades 5-8 at Zion Lutheran School in Egg Harbor, Wis. After teaching there for a semester, she returned to MLC to finish her sixth year of student teaching and classes. Lena graduated MLC in May 2017 with a double major in Elementary Education and Secondary Vocal Music. She is very excited to begin her ministry at Bethany teaching first and second grade, school music, and helping with church music.
